Chocolate is an indulgence that everyone with a sweet tooth loves! Take part in a culinary workshop to discover all the secrets of making this delicious confectionery...
At a chocolate workshop, you can take part in a variety of culinary activities.
You'll learn how to create chocolates from A to Z, from the transformation of cocoa beans (roasting in an oven, crushing with a hammer, grinding in a centrifuge...) to the molding of chocolate, including conching in a mixer to obtain a smooth, liquid texture.
During this chocolate workshop, you'll make a chocolate bar by exploring the various stages involved in creating the paste. You'll then use a mold and a pastry bag to make your bar. For an extra touch of indulgence, you can add hazelnuts, almonds or pistachios!
A chocolatier will teach you how to create chocolate confections (truffles, rochers, dragées, pralinés...) by melting couverture chocolate in a bain-marie, using a saucepan, a bowl and a spatula. You will then be introduced to molding techniques.
The chocolate workshop will enable you to make and taste a variety of chocolates: dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate.
Dark chocolate, the bitterest of the three, contains at least 35% cocoa solids. It's also richer in fiber, iron, copper and magnesium. Many people enjoy eating it with orange and mint flavours. Contrary to popular belief, it contains more fat than milk chocolate.
Milk chocolate, the most popular of all, contains a minimum of 25% cocoa solids. It is less fatty than dark chocolate, but sweeter. It is often accompanied by hazelnuts, almonds, praline or caramel chips.
White chocolate contains no cocoa. It consists solely of cocoa butter, milk and sugar.
