Activity description :

Come and make your own chocolate bar in the company of a passionate artisan chocolatier right in the heart of Paris, in the 2nd arrondissement. You'll be working with raw chocolate, meaning that the beans have not been roasted, thus respecting the raw material and preserving all its nutritional values.

Course of the activity (2h):

  • First, we'll explain the history of chocolate through the ages and the creation of this very special raw chocolate by Fréféric Marr.
  • You'll learn all about the "bean-to-bar" chocolate-making process, from bean to bar, its culture and current issues (including health and fair trade).
  • Then it's time to get hands-on! You'll make your own personalized chocolate bar. You'll learn how to temper it on your own marble slab, and how to put it into a mold.
  • At the end of the workshop, you'll enjoy a small tasting session to round off your experience.

Enjoy a visual and olfactory experience, and leave with your own treats and a wealth of knowledge about chocolate.

Exceptional workshop. Sébastien introduces us to chocolate from different angles: history, economics, health, environment... The theoretical part of the workshop is very enriching, and the practical part is great fun. I left with the chocolate bars I'd made and a head full of chocolate stories.
