Royan: a dream place to try skydiving

You'll have the chance to skydive from the Royan airfield. During your jump, you'll have a breathtaking view of the Atlantic coastline and the Gironde Estuary. The Côte Sauvage is one of the most popular spots for skydiving, giving you the chance to admire the Charente marshes and coastal landscapes.

How the jump works

• On arrival at the airfield, you'll be briefed and fitted out by the on-site staff.
• Next comes boarding and take-off aboard a Pilatus Porter aircraft for a 15-minute flight over the Côte Sauvage.
• At an altitude of 4,000 meters, the doors open and you jump off, hooked to the instructor, for 60 seconds of free-fall at nearly 200 kph.
• At 1500 meters, the instructor triggers theopening of the parachute. Once the parachute is open, you can enjoy the pleasure of piloting the canopy with dual controls during an aerial ride. You have around 6 minutes to enjoy the scenery before landing.
• The landing is managed by your instructor for a safe arrival.

On site, you can purchase video options: a cameraman will jump alongside you and film your entire jump.

The center: is staffed by professionals certified by the Fédération Française de Parachutisme for safe skydiving. The skydiving school also offers training courses, initiations and PAC courses, as well as skydiving certificates.
