Activity description :

The PAC (Progression Accompagnée en Chute) training program is a fast-track method of getting you into skydiving and acquiring all the autonomy you need for free-fall jumping.

The course lasts a week, during which you'll learn all the theory you need to know about skydiving, plus a practical phase in which you'll make a series of jumps. You can choose between 7 or 15 jumps.

Come to the Chéu jump base near Auxerre to receive all the instruction you need for your training. All our instructors are skydiving professionals, certified and qualified by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports, and have several thousand jumps to their credit. The team is led by Polo Grisoni, holder of 9 world skydiving records and 16 times French champion. The center is approved by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports and the French Skydiving Federation, and is a member of the FEPP.

Course of your training course :

  • Welcome at the airfield by the team who will accompany you throughout the week.
  • The first day is devoted to theory. You will cover the following topics:
    • Familiarization with the equipment
    • Aircraft exits
    • Free-fall stability
    • Altitude management
    • Parachute opening
    • Piloting the canopy
    • Landing
    • Folding
  • Then it's off for boarding and a 15-minute climb to the plane's target altitude of 4,000 meters.
  • Once you've reached the target altitude, you'll find yourself at the door of the plane, surrounded by your 2 instructors. It's time for the big jump, between 50 seconds and 1 minute of pure freefall at an average speed of 200 km/h! One instructor will stand in front of you, signalling any corrections to be made to your position, while the other stays at your side, holding on to your parachute harness to ensure your stability and safety.
  • At 1,500 meters, you release the parachute, check the opening and begin your descent: you'll then be able to enjoy an 8-minute canopy ride. After the adrenaline rush of freefall, this is the perfect opportunity to admire the scenery. You'll be guided back to the ground by radio.
  • Debriefing and analysis of your jump in preparation for the next.
  • The following days will be devoted to other jumps. Depending on your level, you may be accompanied by just one instructor.
  • On the 7th jump, if all the objectives have been met (safety and technique), you'll make your solo jump and your PAC course will be validated. You can then jump from any base in France on presentation of your logbook.
  • From the 15th jump onwards, you'll be eligible for the "Brevet A", the first federal skydiving certificate.

Please note that the weight limit for a jump is 91 kg, clothed and shod (please check with the scales at reception).

An intense week of sensations, after which you'll be proud to be able to live out your passion in complete autonomy, departing from any base in France.
