Activity description :

Come and discover the great taste of winter treats at Ferme Ouverte de Saint-Denis in our workshop room, transformed into a warm and lively Christmas decor. Once you've warmed up, you'll also discover a variety of workshops to keep you busy all afternoon!

A winter day at the Ferme Ouverte:

  • Farm market: sale of fruit & vegetables direct from producers and grocery products.
  • Gourmet corner: on-site sale of crêpes, hot Gally apple juice with cinnamon, hot chocolate, coffee and tea.

Continuous workshops (15min per workshop) from 12pm to 1pm, 2pm to 3:30pm and 4:30pm to 5:15pm.

  • Beeswax candle-making workshop
  • Wool braiding workshop. Children discover the world of wool, sheep and shepherds, and learn how to make a woollen accessory with the help of the workshop leader. Introduction to knitting from age 7. Children take part in the creation of a very long scarf to keep our questing horse warm this winter.
  • Winter wonderland coloring (independent)

Workshop on reservation :

  • Winter spice and fruit "Wonder Bread" workshop (45 min) at 11 a.m. or 3:30 p.m.

And don't forget :

  • Animal care and feeding around 5:15pm. This is the perfect time to enter the pens and get up close and personal with the animals. No reservation required, no age limit.

It was great fun, and my 8 and 5 year old daughters really enjoyed the activities and feeding the animals. Their favorite part was making bread with the super animator. And their little store selling fresh produce was an added bonus. A must do
