Bundle dye workshop: vegetable printing on fabric in Lille (59)

Activity description :

Come and discover Noémie's world of natural vegetable dyeing. During this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about the different vegetable dyeing techniques: eco-print or bundle-dye.

Course of the activity (2h30) :

• Theoretical part on vegetable dyeing and the origins of bundle dye.
• Then it's time to get hands-on: laying out the plants, rolling the fabric, folding and tying with a string to apply pressure to reveal the plant motifs.
• You'll dye a cotton cushion cover.
• An introductory guide will be given to you so you can reproduce the technique at home.

These are great workshops for families and friends to discover vegetable dyeing, and more particularly the bundle-dye technique.
