Activity description :

Discover the wonders of the Dordogne on a real Rabaska canoe trip! You'll be accompanied by a guide with a passion for the region, who'll be delighted to explain all its secrets to you!

Canoeing on the Dordogne River

Self-guided trip - All levels - Distance: 7 or 12 km

The Canoë Rabaska is a Canadian canoe that can accommodate up to 15 paddlers. Measuring 9 meters long and 1.40 meters wide, this lightweight craft allows you to enjoy the river all year round, and is easily accessible to people with reduced mobility.

How does it work?

On arrival at the Port-Sainte-Foy nautical base, our partner will give you your equipment and brief you on safety instructions. You'll then set off on a descent of the river.

There are several descents to choose from:

  • La Randonnée des Châteaux: set off from the port of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and canoe down the Dordogne to discover the 10 castles that line the river. In all, you'll discover almost 10 châteaux! The 12km trip takes around 3 hours.
  • La Balade du Martin-Pêcheur: leave from the port of Eynesse and head down the Dordogne towards Pessac. A 2-hour, 7km trip to observe the flora and fauna.

After your canoe trip, you can enjoy a special moment with your guide at a farm selling a wide range of local produce! A tasting will be offered to round off this adventure in the best possible way!
