Activity description :
Immerse yourself in the creative, retro world of the enamel plate workshop, where you'll learn image transfer and stencil techniques to create your very own vintage work.
How the workshop works :
- The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the process of creating a vintage-style enamel plaque. The facilitator explains the various steps to follow and presents the tools and materials required.
- Choice of image and text: Each participant chooses an image or text to transfer onto the enamelled plaque. The instructor gives tips on selecting the right elements for this vintage style.
- Plate preparation: Participants prepare their plate by carefully cleaning it to ensure good adhesion of the image transfer and stencil.
- Image transfer: Participants learn the image transfer technique, using a special medium to transfer their image onto the plate. The instructor shows the steps to follow to achieve a clean, precise transfer.
- Using the stencil: Once the image has been transferred, participants use stencils to add decorative elements or text to their plate. The instructor teaches them how to position the stencil correctly and apply the paint evenly.
- Finishing: Once the stencil has been removed, participants let their plaque dry before proceeding with the finishing touches. The facilitator gives advice on the various finishing options, such as adding a protective varnish or additional details by hand.
- Sharing and concluding: Finally, participants share their creations with the group and exchange impressions. The facilitator concludes the workshop by reminding participants of the techniques they have learned and encouraging them to continue exploring their creativity at home.
This workshop offers participants the opportunity to create a unique, personalized piece in the vintage style of enamelled plates, while learning interesting artistic techniques.
