Activity description :

From log to carved object, come and learn how to work wood the old-fashioned way in Julien's workshop, on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest.

Workshop schedule (6h):

• You'll start by splitting a hazel or birch trunk.
• You'll learn how to roughen it with an axe or saw.
• You'll continue with finishing touches using a plane on a donkey bench and a carving knife.
• You'll learn to understand and work with wood.
• You' ll leave with your own production and tips on how to make this kind of object at home.

The aim of this workshop is not only to tame wood, but also to connect with nature and yourself for a few hours.
