A forerunner of the great châteaux of the Loire Valley, discover the Château de Châteaudun and stroll through its hanging gardens, unique in the Centre region of France. Jean de Dunois, known as the "Bastard of Orleans", half-brother of Duke Charles d'Orléans, transformed theancient medieval château into a comfortable, light-filled residence, even adding a Sainte-Chapelle.
