Shearing Festival at the Bergerie Nationale de Rambouillet (78)

Activity description :

This annual sheep-shearing event once again highlights the Mérinos de Rambouillet sheep, a breed that has been around for over 230 years, and wool, a highly ecological product, from raw to processed.
From visits to sheepfolds and artistic exhibits to wool processing, shearing and sheepdog demonstrations, themed horse-drawn carriage rides and a designer's market, there's something for everyone at this spring weekend.

Access from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. over the weekend, with on-site catering available.

Throughout the weekend of March 23 and 24, 2024, you'll be able to get up close to the animals and take part in a range of educational workshops:

• Sheep & carriage: horse-drawn carriage rides

As well as a catering area featuring farm produce and a store selling farm produce and products made from Merino sheep wool.

• Adults: 9€ / person
• 7€ / child aged 3 to 12
• Free for children under 3
