Introduction to turning and modeling workshop in Marseille (13)

Activity description :

Welcome to Bénédicte's workshop, where she'll teach you how to make your own creations by introducing you to the potter's wheel and modeling. The clay used is fired at high temperature in an electric kiln, between 1250 and 1270°C.

Workshop schedule (3h) :

• Welcome and introduction to the workshop over tea
• Introduction to modelling and the pinch and plate technique to enable you to make bowls, cups, plates...
• Individual introduction to the potter's wheel and learning the essential gestures for making a bowl or cup.
• At the end of the 3-hour workshop, you'll keep 3 pieces and together we'll choose the finish from the available glazes.
• Pick up your piece about a month after the workshop.

The aim of this workshop is not only to introduce you to a new manual and artistic practice, but also to give you a unique experience alongside a passionate craftswoman.
