Introduction to microlight flying in Ambert, Auvergne (63)

Activity description :

Take the controls of a microlight during a training course given by Jean-Michel, European and World Champion in Pendular Microlight flight! You'll learn all the basics of microlight piloting, and you're sure to get an eyeful.

Auvergne: the ideal place for microlight flying

Take off from Ambert and fly over the Auvergne and its volcanoes during an introduction to microlight piloting. In particular, you'll have the chance to discover the Livradois-Forez regional nature park and its lush green surroundings. You'll love the view!

Course of the activity (1h) :

• Welcome at the ultralight base: ground briefing and safety instructions.
• Theoretical part (30 min): explanation of the aircraft's main features and controls.
• Introductory flight (30 min): you'll take control of the microlight and fly like a pilot.
• Soft landing and debriefing with the instructor pilot.

Several types of microlight are available:

• ULM Pendular: ULM with a delta wing (like hang gliders)
• ULM Multiaxes: two-seater aircraft.
• ULM Autogire (gyrocopter): small ULM with a propeller and motor that looks like a helicopter.
