Looking for a creative activity out of the ordinary? Come and meet Maurice, a passionate bookbinding expert for 38 years. He'll teach you how to make your own booklet, which can be used as a travel diary, a notebook or a journal.

Course of the activity (5h):

• Maurice begins by giving you a tour of his workshop, where you'll discover the tools and antique machines (museum pieces!) he uses in his work.
• Production of the A6 size notebook.
• Preparation of the notebooks needed for the book. Then sew them together to form the block.
• Make the cover in canvas and vat-marbled paper from Maurice's stock.
• You make the block in the cover and admire the finished work.

The aim of this 5-hour workshop is to enable you to discover traditional bookbinding, doing it like a professional, under the careful guidance of the bookbinder. You'll leave with your own creation, having experimented with the techniques specific to this art form.
