Activity description :

Continue your learning with this 2nd oenology course (level 2) which will deepen your knowledge and teach you to memorize aromas and structure your olfactory memory. The aim is to classify wine aromas and flavors so you can describe and talk about a wine more accurately.

Course of activity (4h):

This course will alternate theoretical topics, fun aroma recognition workshops, and tastings.
Topics include:
- Learning to identify and recognize aromas
- Discovering the main families of aromas
- Recognizing primary/secondary/tertiary aromas
- Learn to identify the main defects in a wine
- Judging a wine's ageing potential
- The main rules of food and wine pairing
- Fun aroma recognition tests
Tasting and analysis of 7 differentwines
A 50-page booklet containing all the course content will be e-mailed to you 48 hours after the end of the course.

You will develop your ability to recognize a wine's origin, characteristics and qualities.

This oenology course is designed for people who have taken the "Keys to wine tasting - level 1" or "The basics of wine tasting" courses, or who have a good basic knowledge of wine tasting.
You can then continue your training with level 3 "Regions and grape varieties".
