Activity description :

Have you always dreamed of becoming a Koh-Lanta or Mike Horn adventurer and developing your survival skills for an expedition? Éléonore and her team of instructors offer you a survival course in the Ain region near Lyon.

Your survival course near Strasbourg

Duration: 2 days / 1 night - From age 16 - No special physical requirements

Your guide: you will be accompanied by Eléonore or a member of her team. The instructors have degrees in various specialties (AeM, high mountain guide, CQP hiking, BPJEPS, lifeguard) and are selected for their teaching skills.

You will learn :

  • Water & Food: how to find and purify water, which wild plants are edible, what insects you can eat, how to create and set traps.
  • Shelter: how to build a shelter to spend a decent night in your bivouac.
  • Thermal regulation: understanding the problems of cold and heat, starting a fire in poor conditions.
  • Moving around: overcoming obstacles using knots, finding your bearings with or without equipment.

At the end of the weekend, you'll have the basics to prepare your first bivouacs in a wide range of environments, and to secure your outings on your own. This activity is ideal for budding adventurers, or for those wishing to test their limits!

The exact meeting place will be reconfirmed after your reservation. The course takes place in Ingwiller in the Bas Rhin.

How to get there:
- By car: 45 min from Strasbourg via A4.

Know before you go

  • Equipment required: rucksack, sleeping bag, hiking boots, seasonal clothing and waterproof jacket, 1-liter water bottle, headlamp, first-aid kit.
  • Adult supervision required for minors.
  • All courses take place on private land with permission.
  • Survival courses in Essonne do not include campfires, to preserve fragile nature.
  • Please bring appropriate clothing for the season, good shoes, backpack 45L or more, water and lunch on day 1.
