Rafting at Axat sur l'Aude (11)

Activity description :

The team is looking forward to meeting you at their base in Axat, on the banks of the Aude between the Saint-Georges and Pierre Lys gorges. In the heart of the Cathar countryside, you'll have the chance to try your hand at rafting.

Rafting on the Aude

Guided tour - 2 hours - Class II to IV river - From 6 years upwards

Your guide: you'll be accompanied and guided by Patrice or a member of his team. All instructors are state-qualified and will share their passion with you.

How does it work?

When you arrive at the base, the team will give you all the equipment you need and brief you on the safety instructions to be followed on the descent. Then it's time to climb into your raft and enjoy 1h30 in the waters of the Aude.

Several courses are available:

• Rafting Découverte, 2h (6 years and over): 6 km course, based on a gentle introduction to the activity, with plenty of thrills. Departures at 10:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
• Rafting Sportif, 2h (from age 12): 7 km course with 1h15 of surprising scenery, including the famous "crêpes" of Saint Martin Lys. Let yourself be carried to the entrance of the Pierre Lys gorges, where the river narrows and everything begins... you'll discover the King Kong ball, the pinball machine... Departure at 11.15 a.m. and 1.45 p.m.
• Rafting Intégrale, 3h30: a 13 km trip where you combine the two rafting trips, Gorges de Saint Georges + Pierre Lys, with a stop at our base. Departure at 10 a.m.
