Activity description :
Accompanied by certified professionals, you will be trained and guided over 5 days to complete your PAC (Progression Accompagnée en Chute) course, a learning method that will enable you to acquire total autonomy in parachute jumping. You'll learn how to control your body to achieve a stable free-fall position, and pilot your canopy parachute after opening at the right time and height.
Before the adrenalin and practice of skydiving, you'll need to attend a theory course on the first day. You'll learn about jumping techniques, body posture and review all your equipment. The very next day, you'll set off on your first jump, supervised by 2 instructors.
5-day PAC course :
- On arrival at Gap-Tallard airfield, you'll be welcomed by the parachute team.
- Your first day will be devoted to theoretical ground training. You'll learn the techniques involved in jumping, the correct positions to hold and how to use the equipment you'll need for the jump, especially the altimeter.
- Overnight at your own expense in the surrounding area.
- Day 2: First solo jump on the program. After a final briefing with your instructor, you'll be kitted out with your wetsuit, helmet, goggles, gloves, altimeter and, of course, the parachute, the size of which is adapted to your level and size to ensure a safe evolution.
- You'll embark on a 15-minute flight in a small plane, just long enough to reach an altitude of 4,000m. Take the opportunity to admire the peaks of the Hautes-Alpes.
- Once you've reached this altitude, the door will open and you'll get into the starting position with an instructor on either side. Then comes the jump, accompanied by your 2 instructors who ensure your safety and communicate with you by signs to improve your position and ease of flight. You'll free-fall for 50 seconds at over 200 km/hour.
- At 1,500 m, still guided by your 2 instructors, you'll trigger your parachute, and fly quietly for several minutes. You'll put into practice everything you learned the day before, flying your canopy solo while being guided by radio by an instructor on the ground.
- He'll guide you all the way to your landing, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and safely.
- Debriefing of your jump to study areas for improvement.
- Over the following days, you'll make two to three jumps a day and learn how to pack your parachute.
- To validate your PAC course, you'll need to make your solo jump on the 7th jump of your course.
- From the 15th jump onwards, you'll be eligible for the "Brevet A", the first federal skydiving certificate. For the 15-jump course, you'll make 6 instructor jumps and 9 solo jumps.
All your jumps will be filmed, so that you can study them and prepare for the next ones, and will be given to you on a USB key at the end of your course.
This course is ideal for those wishing to acquire real autonomy in freefall. It's also a great gift for any skydiving enthusiast!
