Activity description :

If you wish to discover the sensations of an aeroplane pilot, Marc offers you an introduction to microlight flying in Epinal. With a qualified instructor, you will learn the basics of flying an ultralight motorised aircraft and discover the principles of flying an aircraft. This quick training is a mandatory first step if you wish to follow a more advanced training.

The Vosges: the ideal region to try out microlight flying

During this multiaxis microlight flight, you will fly over Epinal and its surroundings: the High Vosges, the Moselle and the south of Nancy, the Vosges ridges and many other incredible places. You'll have a great view!

Course of the flight :

  • Welcome by the team and 15 minutes briefing: flight schedule, safety instructions and information necessary to fly the microlight.
  • Installation in the aircraft and take-off by the instructor.
  • Once in the air, you will take control of the aircraft: execution of manoeuvres in complete safety.
  • Landing by the pilot and debriefing on the sensations encountered.

Several types of microlight are available:

  • ULM Tetras: a two-seater side-by-side aircraft with a metal structure. This is a high wing microlight.
  • Dynamic WT9 ultralight: the latest generation of low-wing ultralights.
  • ULM "Kiebitz ": directly inspired by the planes of the 1930s. With a length of almost 7 metres and 2 seats, this aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 150km/h. Unlike the Multiaxis microlights, here the cockpit is in the open air.

If you wish to keep lasting memories of your initiation to piloting, do not hesitate to take thevideo option for a fee of 25€. The initiation is an ideal activity to offer as a gift to a close aviation fan.
