Hiking around Lac de Serre-Ponçon

Activity description :

Enjoy a supervised half-day or full-day outing. You'll enjoy 3 or 7 hours in the mountains and spend a privileged moment with a breathtaking view of the Serre-Ponçon valley.

Course of your hike :

• You will be met at the meeting point in Baratier to get to know your guide and the rest of the group.
• You'll be in small groups of no more than 12 people per instructor. You'll enjoy a friendly experience and plenty to see!
• This is an easy hike, perfectly suited to family outings with children.

Half-day hike: 3-hour hike with a maximum ascent of 300 m. Perfect for families, beginners or those with limited time.

Full-day hike: A varied 7-hour program of lakes, rivers and glaciers. You'll discover lakes, rivers, glaciers, passes and peaks over 3000 m in altitude, as well as family hikes where, with a bit of luck, you might spot some animals.

Explanations can be given in French or English if required!

Your guide Nico: he's been in the mountains for over 20 years now, through mountaineering, climbing, ski touring, canyoning and many other activities! He's a qualified mountain guide, and with 20 years' experience as a firefighter, he'll ensure maximum safety in all circumstances. His motto: "Amaze yourself, we'll take care of the rest!"

Equipment you need to bring:

• A backpack
• 1.5Lbfe water supply
• Walking shoes
• Sunglasses and sun protection
• Warm clothing
• Rain jacket (weather permitting)
• Gloves, hat (weather permitting)
• A torch for the descent after sunset
