Activity description :

Elodie and Yvan welcome you to the La Roche-sur-Yon airfield in the Vendée region, where you can experience freefall jumping in an open-air wind tunnel.

What is a wind tunnel?

A wind tunnel, also known as an indoor free-fall simulator, is a large glass tube that reproduces the sensations of free-fall at an altitude of 4,200 meters.

How does it work?

Duration: 1 min. - Up to 30 people - From 5 years upwards

On arrival, the instructor will provide you with your equipment: wetsuit, helmet and goggles. You'll then be briefed on the safety instructions to be followed, and your instructor will start by giving you a demonstration flight. You'll then take turns in the wind tunnel. The 1st flight is a discovery flight, the 2nd flight you start to fly on your own and climb higher, the 3rd flight you fly without apprehension and virtually without the instructor's intervention.

Two options are available:

  • Single-duration flight, equivalent to a parachute jump to 4200 m, i.e. about 1 min.
  • Double-duration flight (2 min) which lasts twice as long, or the equivalent of a jump to 8500 m.

This activity is ideal as a gift for a loved one, or as part of a bachelor party.

A friendly and very professional welcome, with the highest standards of safety and hygiene. I highly recommend it! Note that the activity does not require a particularly athletic physical condition, but great concentration and control of your body, as the slightest movement radically changes your levitating position.
