Ceramics workshop in La Frette-sur-Seine (95)

Activity description :

Lydie invites you to come and share her passion for ceramics in her workshop at La Frette-sur-Seine in the Val d'Oise. In her company, you'll learn how to work stoneware, a highly resistant material once fired, and you'll be able to create a decorative box, an owl/chouette candle-holder or a planter, as you wish. She will assist and guide you throughout the workshop with a great deal of instruction.

Workshop schedule (3h or 3h30) :

• Make a slab with a roller, then remove air bubbles from the stoneware.
• You then shape the different parts of your object and assemble them using slip (diluted clay paste).
• Decorate your object while learning to master a certain technique:
  • Adding a second clay for the box
  • Openwork technique for the candle jar
  • Using slip to glue various elements you've imagined onto your cachepot
• You can use different colors that will only reveal themselves after firing.
• Lydie will take care of firing your piece, and you'll get it back a few weeks later.

A workshop to share with friends (privatization possible from 2 to 4 people) for a creative moment in a place surrounded by greenery.
