Canyoning in the Gorges du Chassezac

These gorges form one of the region's most spectacular canyons. From the Vivarais cévenol to the garrigues of the Ardèche, the Chassezac rises in Lozère at an altitude of over 1503m! The cliffs of these gorges rise like a wall, separating the massif from the Cevennes. These gorges offer crystal-clear waters and a reserve of exceptional fauna, flora and animals!

Obstacles: natural slides, jumps, abseiling and zip lines.

Your guide: the canyoning offered by our partner is supervised by qualified and experienced guides.

How does it work?

Your qualified instructor Etienne will meet you at the leisure center. After an equipment session and briefing, you'll have to make your own way to the Chassezac canyon (45-minute drive). Time for adventure! Different packages are available:

• Family formula from age 7 - 3 to 4 hours: ideal for novices, children or families. Jumps up to 5 meters (not compulsory), slides on natural toboggans, swimming and wading in the water.
• Discovery package from age 12 - 4h: thrills and spills, jumps up to 8 meters (not compulsory), natural toboggans, bouldering.
• Adventure package for 14 year olds and over - 5h : very sporty and technical, jumps up to 8 meters (not compulsory), abseiling, bouldering, swimming. Transport included for this option only.

These different routes are perfect whether you're a canyoning novice or a first-timer! With family, friends or even a bachelor party, canyoning is always a good way to spend a day in the fresh air!
